Geneverse had a blast at Fin Fest and we just couldn’t resist letting our customers and readership know about this action-packed, immersive, and educational event.

Florida Fin Fest is a two-day festival that blends ocean conservation, education, and live music, hosted in beautiful Jacksonville Beach, FL during the temperate weekend of September 17th & 18th. Fin Fest essentially provides a two-day education and music festival focused on sustainability – and Geneverse was happy to sponsor and attend the event.

We love to assist organizations and play any sort of role that makes sense at events such as these in order to not only raise awareness about our green backup power solutions, but to also help raise awareness about how events like Fin Fest aim to make the world a better place.

Fin Fest featured an Education Village presented by The Ocean Conservancy complete with an immersive VR experience. Geneverse helped power a touch tank brought in from Jacksonville University & OCEARCH. Touch tanks are interactive shallow water aquariums where visitors can reach in and touch the different sea life and engage in a tactile way. The event also had a Mobile Planetarium that was brought in by The Museum of Science & History (MOSH).

There were educational panels at The Blue Jay Listening Room Stage that touched on topics like Water Quality, Marine Conservation, Micro-Plastics Micro-Fibers & Marine Debris, and Sea-Level Rise Adaptation.

Florida Fin Fest also held a 2-day beach cleanup that took place each morning before the festival started.

In addition to helping provide power to their touch tank, we provided power for the many vendor stations as well as the Fin Fest WiFi station.
