As July has come to a close and August gets into full swing, students around the country are preparing to go back to school. Whether you’re a K-12 student, undergraduate, or post-graduate student, it’s a good idea to have a strategy for getting back to the routine.
Geneverse (formerly Generark) would like to provide a few life hacks that will help you make the grade.
First Thing’s First: Solar Energy in Schools
We consider ourselves industry leaders when it comes to renewable energy. Our products and solutions help power people from all walks of life through everyday circumstances and unforeseen emergencies alike.
The IREC (Interstate Renewable Energy Council) asserts that there are now over7,300 schools across the country that utilize solar energy to achieve their educational goals. Solar energy helps schools, students, and their families save money when it comes to electric bills. Educating students, faculty, and administration about clean energy is a great way to help ensure a bright future ahead.
Cost of solar panels has declined and financing solar energy is more viable than ever before. In short, solar energy is far more widely accessible, and this creates a tremendous opportunity for action for schools still operating without solar.
Back to School Tip #1: Focus on Weak Points
Instead of doubling down on subjects you’re already good at, put a plan in place that will help you address any subject areas where you might be less formidable. This will help you bring up your GPA, especially if there are any subjects where you’ve been scoring average or lower grades. If you can start scoring excellent marks in your weak areas of study you will see the biggest impact when report card season comes.
Back to School Tip #2: Get into a Healthy Routine
We know that studying and pressure related to academia can be stressful, so it’s important to fall back on routine and discipline. Try your best to get to bed as early and wake up as early as your schedule permits. Eat a healthy breakfast, take vitamins, and exercise. Set aside plenty of time for studying without feeling like you’re cramming.
If you end up procrastinating, eating unhealthy food day in and day out, and being a couch potato, it’s likely your performance will wane and your physical and mental wellbeing will be impacted.
Back to School Tip #3: Compete with Yourself
It might seem like a good idea to target the highest ranking student in class or the leading scorer on the fields of play, however, this might be setting yourself up for disappointment. Instead, make school and extracurricular activities a competition within yourself. Each day you study or practice something, simply aim to get 1% better at whatever you are doing. Try to beat the version of you from yesterday.
Back to School Tip #4: Be Prepared
School has a way of taking up large chunks of a student’s life, however, life is still going on outside of the classroom. It’s important to be prepared for anything and everything that can occur.
For instance, if you experience a power outage at home, it’s likely that your homework is still going to be due in the morning. It’s not a good idea to come with an excuse when an assignment needs to be turned in. Your teacher or professor might not be so forgiving.
Geneverse HomePower ONE and HomePower 2 provide reliable and renewable energy that will help power your computers, laptops, smartphones, and tablets for up to 7 days on a single charge. No matter how chaotic the world gets, you’ll be able to take care of your studies and stay on top of homework. It’s a good idea to stay on top of your workload instead of letting school work run you ragged.
We wish you the best of luck this school year and we’d love to hear more about how you’re using your Geneverse to power you through the school year.
