I live in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan and also have a cottage in Northern Michigan. 

Do you have solar panels installed on your home? If not, would you ever consider it?

Yes.  I do have solar panels on my cottage in Northern Michigan. 

How many people are in your household? What are their age ranges?

2 in the household.  We are both 61 years old. 

What do you do for a living/what industry do you work in?

Currently retired.

For some reason Michigan is one of states that has a very high rate of power outages.

I do consider myself tech-savvy and this was very easy setting up and charging with the solar panels.

Used very effectively with one blackout.  [We] often use [HomePower One] in a detached garage that does not have dedicated power and is great for tools and lighting.

[We] plan to use it on occasion to light an area at our cottage for corn hole night tournaments.
