Under normal circumstances you’d likely be reading an article about how our solar energy products and solutions can help you become energy independent.
However, today we’d like to focus on communities affected by Hurricane Helene.
Areas of the Country Affected by Hurricane Helene
Hurricane Helene has left a trail of destruction across the U.S. Southeast spanning across six states. As Helene has continued to devastate areas like Florida and, most recently, North Carolina, the list of casualties and fatalities continues to grow.
The Associated Press reports that “at least 121 deaths in six states have been attributed to the storm.” Disaster relief efforts are making a huge difference when it comes to the wellbeing of those affected.
How to Help Individuals and Families Affected by the Hurricane
If you’re looking to provide support to individuals and communities affected by this disaster, there are several avenues and resources available. We’ll be providing support in any capacity we can here at Geneverse, but we’re providing links below for anyone interested in providing donations to charitable organizations.
American Red Cross
Since 1881, the American Red Cross has offered food, shelter, supplies, and necessary emotional support to victims in their times of crisis. The American Red Cross has sent hundreds of workers and volunteers to Florida and has also opened dozens of shelter centers for those who have evacuated their homes.
